Biodata:  Bernhoff A. Dahl, M.D. Bernhoff A. Dahl, M.D. is a licensed physician and Board-certified pathologist with 25 years of experience. He was the co-founder and managing partner of Dahl-Chase Pathology Associates and has launched an array of related ventures both within and outside of the practice of medicine.

During his years of medical practice, he studied, understood, and applied the benefits of the dynamic management tool Strategic Thinking and Planning. He has applied STP to countless management venues, particularly specializing in medical counseling and managed healthcare services.

Today, Dr. Dahl is the coordinator and principal consultant for PathQuest Healthcare and Management Consultants and QuestPath Anatomic Pathology Services.

 
Formal EducationDr. Dahl graduated from Wheaton College and Cornell University Medical College.  His internship and residency were at University of Vermont hospitals.
1956-1960 Wheaton College (Illinois).  B.S. in Professional Chemistry.

Military ServiceDr. Dahl served the military as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer for the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia.

Professional Activities/PositionsDr. Dahl was the Chief of Pathology at Eastern Maine Medical Center (EMMC) in Bangor, Maine.  He was co-founder of many organizations, including Dahl-Chase Pathology Associates, UniShip, CellTech, Medical Laboratories, Inc., MedLab 260, Physicians' Support Services, and the Institute for Cellular Research.

1982-1995 UniShip, Inc. Co-founder and President of a courier service with a focus on health care institutions in Maine.
1983-1994 Cellular Technologies (CellTech).  Co-founder and member of the Board of Directors of a regional histology/cytology network laboratory serving 15 hospitals in Maine.
1984-1995 Medical Laboratories, Inc.  Co-founder and President of an "independent lease arrangement" type laboratory service inside a not-for-profit hospital.
1985-1995 MedLab 260. Co-founder and Medical Director for a multi-specialty medical group independent laboratory in Portland, Maine.
1986-1995 Physicians' Support Services. Co-founder and President of a sales/service, continuing education and consulting organization serving clinic and physician office laboratories in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

1995-Present PathQuest, Inc. Founder and President of network of nationwide consultants providing services relating to Organizational Dynamics and Leadership issues and skills with a focus on Strategic Planning.

Business Activities/PositionsIn addition to PathQuest Management Consultants, Dr. Dahl has founded or co-founded several private ventures, such as The WoodsPeople (wood shelter systems plans), The Freedom Group (commercial real estate development, with flagship Freedom Park for Commerce and Industry and Oak Ridge Business Park), Overhead Door Company, Inc., River Edge at Winterport (co-developer of a residential development on the Penobscot River), and more.
1976-Present Freedom Park for Commerce and Industry, Hermon, Maine.  Developer of a private commercial/industrial park which is now the home of 74 businesses in 55 buildings.
1978-Present Overhead Door Co., Inc.  Co-founder and co-owner of the distributorship in Bangor, Maine.
1979-Present The Freedom Group.  Founder and owner of a real-estate development venture which focuses on real estate development, construction support services, and industrial, commercial, and professional rental properties.
1989-1991 River Edge at Winterport.  Co-developer of a residential development on the Penobscot River.
1994-Present Oak Ridge Business Park.  Developer and owner of a professional business park near the Bangor Mall in Bangor, Maine.
